About the programme
The Civil Engineering programme trains engineers for design consultancy, project management consultancy, construction supervision and site management of civil and industrial buildings: housing, hospitals, hotels and factories. The programme has been taught since the University was founded in 2006.
The curriculum is application-oriented, with extensive practice in AutoCAD, Revit, SAP, SAFE, ETABS and MS Project. Students choose in-depth electives to match their career direction and complete 8 course projects — from analysing and designing reinforced concrete and steel structures to construction and project management following the BIM process.
Students learn in groups and through projects, combining seminars, real-world case studies, laboratory work, design projects and site internships; they are assessed on design work, projects, presentations, design competitions and internship reports.
The Civil Engineering programme has undergone external review (10/2022) and received a quality accreditation certificate.

Highlighted courses
Strength of Materials
Stress, strain and strength conditions of members in tension, compression, bending and torsion.
Structural Mechanics
Internal forces and displacements of statically determinate and indeterminate beams, frames and trusses — two courses.
Reinforced Concrete Structures
Design and detailing of reinforced concrete beams, slabs, columns and foundations to current standards.
Steel Structures
Welded and bolted connections; design of steel beams, columns, trusses and industrial building frames.
High-rise Building Structures
Frame, shear-wall and core systems; wind and earthquake loads on multi-storey buildings.
Construction Techniques
Earthworks, foundations, formwork, reinforcement, concrete and erection on site — two courses.
Construction Organisation
Scheduling, site layout planning, and coordinating labour, plant and materials.
BIM Process in Construction
3D modelling, data management and multidisciplinary coordination following the BIM process.
Revit for Construction
Building architectural and structural models and producing drawing sets from the model — two courses.
Construction Technical Drawing
Reading and producing construction drawings to standard, with practice in AutoCAD.
Construction Documentation Management
Preparing and archiving design, construction, acceptance and as-built records.
8 course projects
Each project is a complete set of design calculations and drawings for one part of a building.
